DeaconChef Inc. is a community based ministry that was founded in August of 2014. For the last three years DeconChef Inc. has been able to enrich and empower the Baltimore Metropolitan area by not only feeding the homeless community but providing clothing as well as resources for housing, medical treatment and mental health awareness. Every third Saturday, at St. Vincent DePaul Church Park, which we have coined our “Unity in the Community Day” DeaconChef Inc. provides a restaurant quality meal to over 150 homeless community members while also providing the needs for the season.

December 2016, we were able to provide over 300 pairs of gloves, hats, scarfs coats and blankets to the community. The ultimate vision of DeaconChef Inc. is to purchase and open a restaurant to not only continue the mission of feeding our homeless population but provide a place for them to work and gain valuable culinary skills that will allow them to establish stability within the community and impact the ones to follow.

December 2017, we were also able to provide over 200 winter coats, 500 pairs of socks and warm winter clothing with support of our Sponsors of Bombas Socks and United Health Care of Maryland.

November and December 2018, we feed 200 people for a nontraditional Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner.

November 2020, DeaconChef partnered with The Franciscan Center in Baltimore where we fed 993 people Thanksgiving meals for sit-in, take homes and deliveries.

December 2020, DeaconChef partnered with The Franciscan Center in Baltimore where we feed 1900 people for 24 hours with the help of local chefs from Baltimore and Washington Dc.
